Experience holistic postnatal care with Ayurveda, addressing weight gain, body aches, and overall recovery after childbirth.
After delivery, a woman’s body requires special care to regain strength and balance. Our Ayurvedic postnatal care, featuring the renowned Vethu Kuli (स्नान चिकित्सा) therapy (herbal water bath), helps restore vitality through natural methods. This holistic program includes therapies like abdominal binding, oil massages, and customized diets to support healing and well-being. Vethu Kuli is designed to bring balance to the body’s doshas, particularly pacifying the aggravated Vata dosha, which is responsible for postnatal imbalances. This process not only promotes physical recovery but also rejuvenates the mind and spirit.
Vethu Kuli, or postnatal herbal bath, is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy practiced widely in Kerala, India. The treatment begins with an oil massage, followed by a bath using medicated water infused with herbs known for their Vata-pacifying properties. This therapy is complemented by other treatments such as abdominal binding, customized diet plans, and gentle yoga to enhance recovery and bring the body back to balance after childbirth.
Your postnatal care journey starts with a consultation with our Ayurvedic doctor to tailor a personalized recovery plan.
Day 1: Treatment begins 5–6 days post-normal delivery, or after 15 days for C-section deliveries. You’ll start with a warm oil massage to stimulate circulation and prepare the body for the healing herbal bath.
Medicated Herbal Water: Our expert practitioners prepare a warm bath using Vata-pacifying herbs, including Dashamoola, Bala, and other Ayurvedic ingredients known for their healing properties.
Therapeutic Benefits: Regular treatments over the first 90 days post-delivery help restore body strength, cleanse the uterus, and balance the doshas for overall wellness.
